In terms of being one of THE most EPIC Indie Bands in the Music Industry who are consistently bringing their iconic presence and achievements to the foreground in bold strides, Canadian Born, Los Angeles Based Fashion Art Rock Band Palaye Royale remain congruent by recently announcing many ‘long awaited’ surprises for their fans globally:

On March 22nd, 2016, they announced a 38 date trek across the USA with Van’s Summer Warped Tour beginning June 24th where they will perform in front of 800,000+ fans. This announcement was made while already on a National tour: Light In The Cave/I See Stars). On June 11th, they will host a Warped Tour Takeover Day in social media, and have recently begun touring with High School Nation (HSN) with Drake Bell on March 28th performing at 25 schools for the spring for over 100,000 fans with full-on meet and greets, concerts, and Q & A full school assemblies that will wrap up April 29th. In addition to their day performances during the HSN tour, you can catch the band in the evenings at ALOFT hotels who will be hosting Live at Aloft acoustic performances. Most of the acoustic performances will be live streamed via YOUNOW. So, if you missed them on tour you can stream these acoustic performances by tuning in via any apple or android phone for the intimate view of the band before, during, and after the live acoustic show (click here to subscribe)

The band will have over 150 shows under their belt prior to the release of their debut album ‘Boom Boom Room’ on June 24th, 2016 and it’s amazing to see how far Palaye Royale have come in such a short time following their live exclusive performances in the actual ‘Boom Boom Room’ where they first began showcasing their new music before industry professionals. We have previously written about this and their accomplishments in our documented Number Series 1 & 2 (see here for No. 1 and see here for No.2).

Delving further into the bands’ most recent social media blasts, was the announcement for their single release of ‘Mr. Doctor Man’ and YouTube video (via Sumerian Records, the bands’ Record label) which is available now in the (presale & presale bundles) of the album on iTunes in conjunction with the album release date announcement on the same day set for June 24th, 2016.

So let’s rewind a little bit:

In the spring of 2015, I wrote and published an article via Indie Habit titled ‘Palaye Royale Presents the Boom Boom Room in Hollywoodland’ (click here to read) This is the precedent for all of the bands’ lyrics and recordings that are featured throughout their new album which was produced by James Iha (of The Smashing Pumpkins) later in 2015 truly lending insight to who the band is.

Now, with the impending release of their debut album, fans and followers, and street teams everywhere (known as Soldiers of The Royal Council) do not have to wait any longer. Already with the release of the ‘Mr. Doctor Man’ video on April 1st, 2016 via the Sumerian Records YouTube channel (see video below), the band has hit over 36,000 views on the video in under one week (at the time of writing this feature) and the numbers continue to climb significantly. For an audience that is just getting to know the band, the release of this song and video is a gratuitous helping of whom and what Palaye Royale is all about: Completely Unique, Driven, Creative, Edgy, Talented, and Iconic to the extreme. The video is a true representation of the band in all their Rock & Roll glory and how they have evolved as a unit from the ‘Get Higher’ days until present while managing to remain true to their Art and Image even after signing a record deal with Sumerian Records in 2015.

Immediately following the release of the single and video, radio stations began clambering for a copy of the song which was spun immediately on the iconic Rodney Bingenheimer’s Sunday night radio show on the Famous KROQ  (click here) 106.7 FM Radio show ‘Rodney on the ROQ’ April 3rd, 2016. This isn’t the first spin for the band on FM radio either, they have had their previously released single ‘Don’t Feel Quite Right’ and ‘Live Like We Want To’ also played on KROQ and WhattheFunday Inter FM Radio in Japan (click here).

Now with the HSN tour well underway and yet another coming up followed by the Album release in June, I am certain that after following the bands’ journey for over two years now, they are right where they want to be in terms of their goals. We look forward to hearing this album in June in its full glory because it’s been a much anticipated time coming.
